At Environmental Design Group, we design municipal facilities that connect to the local environment and way of life, resulting in meaningful, context driven planning that is tailored to your individual needs and unique community identity.
City services buildings such as police and fire stations, libraries, city halls, and courthouses are important touchpoints for the communities they serve. In some respects, they define the character of the government and color the interactions between citizens and public servants. One of the main challenges of designing facilities for the public sector is designing projects that embrace the community through their public-facing functions while maintaining the security, functionality, and financial stewardship expected by administrators and taxpayers. We work closely with municipalities and our design partners to understand how we can leverage the design of the facility to develop budget-conscious plans that meet the functional needs of the program while being flexible enough to address the future needs of the community.
THE COMMUNITY IMPACT PEOPLE
We understand the budget and growth challenges facing institutional development as being more complex than ever before. From a new K-12 facility or a medical office building to an athletic field, we know the undertaking of renovating, expanding or constructing new facility spaces.
For more than 30 years, we have designed beautiful and engaging places, each with its unique character and recognizable identity. As the community impact people, dedicated to a sense of belonging, we have always focused on sustainability and honoring the environment. Our team looks for ways to connect people with the outdoors, and the community to its spaces.
