Meet the Team

Owning a dam is a big responsibility. Much like roads and bridges, dams are designed and constructed to function for an expected lifespan. As soon as a reservoir is filled, a dam begins its journey towards the need of repair or replacement. Settlement and seepage of any dam is inevitable. Even the smallest of seepage can scour a path onto major issues and failures.

If you own a dam, you are responsible for ensuring that the dam is maintained and operated in such a way that it does not create a hazard to life, health, or property. This is done by taking precautionary measures, such as periodic inspection, maintenance and monitoring, and performing needed repairs to maintain the safe condition of the dam. If you no longer need the dam, there are many grant options for removal and restoration.
