The Tappan Marina Improvement Project will provide a destination dining and service experience for the MWCD customers, and the utility improvements will provide improved drinking water for the marina and reduced pollutants to Tappan Lake. This project improves the customer experience and invites drivers passing by to stop and enjoy the site.
Tappan Lake Marina Improvements
Our diverse team of experts is providing planning, detailed design, bidding and construction administrative services for the proposed distribution system and new Water Treatment Plant facilities as well as the collection system and a new Waste Water Treatment Plant.
With the acquisition of Tappan Lake Marina, Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) chose to undertake a major renovation of the restaurant operations along with exterior and interior building and site/civil improvements. The project keeps the building footprint, but includes installing a new kitchen, public restrooms, elevator, retail store, employee offices, and family restrooms with showers. Exterior improvements include a new building façade, dining deck overlooking the lake, new parking lot with Green Infrastructure stormwater quality facilities with lighting, accessibility improvements, boardwalk, deck and patios to enjoy lake views, and improved vehicular, emergency and pedestrian circulation.
