IMPACT

With the remote location and rolling terrain, the estimated construction costs exceeded the original budget. We worked with the client to develop a phasing plan that would be economically viable at each phase of construction.

The future campground will be a central feature for one of the largest public-private partnerships in the region’s history to drive tourism, create jobs, and help attract new businesses to the area. The campground is projected to have a direct impact of $10 million on the community and over $100 million in conjunction with local attractions.

Boyd County Campground

Located on a reclaimed mining site, this future Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort will accommodate over 300 RV campsites with full hook-ups, 35 cabins, a waterpark with a recreational swimming pool and splashpad, mini-golf course, jumping pad, theater, game room, and more. The plan also takes into consideration the future development of a 100-room hotel and a vehicular access road to the nearby ATV complex.

We provided campground planning services including preliminary site design, site utility plan, and an opinion of probable construction cost, and construction phasing plans.
