This 60-unit assisted living facility is close to retail shopping, grocery stores and health care services, and provides modern facilities for aging residents of northern Summit County.
Altercare of Stow
The design of this facility called for a comprehensive stormwater management plan to reduce site runoff, improve water quality, and promote stormwater infiltration – treating runoff at its source. A series of terraced bioswales were planned that wrapped the site adjacent to the new parking lots.
Environmental Design Group provided Phase I ESA, ALTA (HUD regulations) surveys, wetland mitigation and civil design and landscape architecture services. In addition, we prepared site construction documents, including demolition, site layout, grading, drainage, utility, stormwater pollution prevention, and irrigation and landscape planting plan. This former soil borrow pit required extensive earthwork to balance the site on this 3-acre development.
