IMPACT

This development provides affordable housing for seniors to improve the quality of life for citizens in the community, while protecting sensitive wetlands and wildlife features. In addition, this project creates walkable grounds for the residents to enjoy nature and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Harvest Rose Land Development

Environmental Design Group provided land planning, zoning, wetland delineation and permitting activities, civil site design, stormwater management, Ohio EPA sanitary and water permitting, and construction staking.

Wetland mitigation and permitting was needed, as well as zoning revisions, dedication platting, and utility service coordination.

This project encompasses a senior housing complex that has been ongoing for our design team for more than 10 years. Due to changes in demographics and market conditions, what was originally designed as 60 single family homes has evolved into two distinct areas, each with their own character. The original area was developed into 12 single family homes along a newly dedicated street. The second phase evolved into 40 units in 14 buildings, with residency restricted to people 62 years of age and older.
