City of Painesville Street and Connectivity Plan

Environmental Design Group provided extensive existing conditions analysis of Downtown Painesville and the Washington Street corridor, which then influence the road diet alternatives proposed to the public and stakeholders. A robust series of public and stakeholder meetings, as well as signage design charrettes, were conducted to allow the community to guide the final vision of the Connectivity Plan.

The Painesville Complete Street and Connectivity TLCI Plan was a NOACA-funded planning study focusing on improving the multi-modal connectivity to and along the 1-mile Washington Street corridor in Downtown Painesville. The plan explored different road diet alternatives for Washington Street to better connect users of all types between Lake Erie College and Recreation Park. As part of the study, a signage and wayfinding plan was also developed for Downtown Painesville that provides an improved and informative experience for students, visitors, workers, and residents visiting Downtown.
