West Creek Reservation is one of the newest parks in Cleveland’s Emerald Necklace. It is a dramatic departure from a traditional park as it also serves as a world-class research facility for urban watersheds, challenging visitors to connect the importance of a healthy watershed with individual and community action plans.
Environmental Design Group led the master planning, ecological resources studies, surveying, design and documentation for the all-purpose trail, park development, and assorted park buildings, including an award-winning visitor center. More than 40 stormwater management features were built and in use today.
The project was a recipient of the Ohio Stormwater Award, an Ohio Chapter ASLA Honor Award, and is LEED Gold Certified.
