Scope of Services
The City of Cuyahoga Falls water distribution system provides service to 49,500 people and has an average daily flow of 5.3 million gallons per day. Environmental Design Group identified the impact of permanently removing the Oak Park tank from the low-pressure zone of the city’s water distribution system. The impact to pressures and flows, along with the reduced storage capacity of the entire distribution system were evaluated. Benchmarks for acceptable flows and pressures were obtained and a final report was submitted to the city with recommendation for tank removal.
The project approach provided distinct advantages to the city by delivering a detailed engineering analysis to allow for evaluation and comparison of the potential expenditure of capital dollars to repair, replace or remove the tank and evaluate the impact on the distribution system.
