IMPACT

With integrated planning and engineering services, EDG was able to provide cost-effective solutions that reduced the anticipated construction costs and freed up land for additional campsites and amenities. With the boulevard entrance, central roundabout and Ranger Station, and defined neighborhoods, the site is easy to navigate and provides a centralized, high-energy active recreational area balanced with a naturalized area for passive recreation that takes advantage of the natural site features. The campground is now a Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp-Resort.

Nielson RV Recreation Resort

Located along the route from Las Vegas to Zion National Park, this 43-acre campground was originally designed on a grid to maximize the number of campsites. We were asked to reimagine the campground as a family friendly resort that could serve as a basecamp with access the numerous state and national natural resource areas within the region. The resulting plan balances efficient land planning with intentional guest experiences, destination style amenities, oversized RV campsites, and convenient commercial services located on adjacent outparcels.

Our team provided master planning, schematic planning, and architectural plans and renderings, and has continued to provide peer review and assistance through design completion and construction.
