Scope of Services
Environmental Design Group provided design drawings for the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and the collection system that consisted of six grinder pump stations, directionally drilled HDPE force mains, and gravity sanitary sewers. The WWTP included flow equalization, extended aeration, clarifiers, uplift clarifiers, dosing pumps, sand filters, UV disinfection, and a sludge holding tank. The system was designed for an initial flow of 4,200 gallons per day (GPD) and the future flow of 13,000 GPD. Environmental Design Group also assisted Girl Scout staff in overseeing the construction and final inspection of the facilities.
As aging camp facilities were closed, activities were consolidated at Camp Ledgewood. With plans to add a multipurpose facility, including food service and additional cabins, Ohio EPA required a new WWTP to handle future flows in the amount of 13,000 GPD.
