Abby began her professional life as an animal veterinarian but found medicine to be misaligned with her need for predictability. Abby has found her calling in accounting and is currently pursuing her associates degree from the University of Cincinnati. While she is new to the A/E/C industry, she plans to use her education and work experience to enhance the accuracy and integrity of financial records for EDG.

Abby has always been interested in the intersection of art, nature, and community. After dabbling in sculpture, she got a degree from Kent in Architecture and continued her education at Akron in Civil Engineering, where she worked in finite element analysis of shape memory alloys and other novel materials along with other various research projects. Abby hopes to utilize her skills to enhance the unique projects EDG works on.

Abby has experience as right of way acquisition agent on both ODOT and LPA projects across Ohio. She is pre-qualified with ODOT in title research, negotiations, value analysis and closings.

Alex has experience in designing both private and municipal projects. His responsibilities include creating construction drawings, stormwater calculations and reports, cost estimates, and site plan reviews. Alex has also worked on numerous roadway resurfacing, reconstruction, storm, sanitary, and waterline projects for local municipalities.

Allison is a recent graduate of Youngstown State University. During her time in college she worked at EDG as an intern for two summers under the site development POD.

Amanda has experience supporting teams and executives with organizing their day-to-day workload, calendar, and email as well as executing tasks to assist with business operations. She enjoys helping people and finding solutions to improve efficiency. She is a proud alumna of Western Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration.

Andrew is a construction engineer with experience providing inspection, materials testing, and oversight on state, federal, and privately funded construction projects. He has experience in engineering services related to the testing, inspection, report preparation and review of materials, as well as certifications in signals and lighting specifications and protective coating application.

Angela has experience that includes collecting data, managing projects, and preparing technical documents for a variety of local, state, and federal agencies. Her work responsibilities have included ecological permitting, wetland and stream assessments, ESA’s and ESR’s; mitigation monitoring, construction observation, and reporting.

Ariel received her BFA in graphic design at Kent State University with a minor in user experience design. She enjoys typography, layout design, and illustration. She has experience with numerous adobe platforms including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Aftereffects and XD. She has completed graphic design internships with Jump Rope Dudes, Kent State Football, and Kent State University Libraries.

Boris has over three decades of experience in working with communities and local and state agencies in solving water resource issues ranging from flood mitigation, water and wastewater infrastructure, and green best management practices.

Brandy has been in human resources for over 11 years and has largely specialized in M&A and development of growth-oriented organizations. Her passion is mentoring and developing professionals. She is planning to pursue her MBA starting in the fall of 2023 and believes in lifelong education through formal academics, life experiences, and the passionate pursuit of knowledge.

Brent has experience in transportation negotiation, title research, value analyses, closings and surveying. He has extensive experience with ODOT and LPA right of way acquisition practices and procedures. His degrees are in Urban and Regional Planning and Environmental Earth Science, with a GIS certificate from Miami University. He also has extensive experience monitoring of engineered fill placement, analysis of drilling samples, ACI testing certified, environmental monitoring of sewerage systems. Brent enjoys genealogical and historical research, along with multiple other interests.

With over two decades of experience and a professional engineering license, Brian has established himself as a leader in healthcare and university construction projects. He has successfully managed emergency situations and improved fiscal and operational processes through Lean principles. Brian’s extensive experience in design, construction, and operations has allowed him to cultivate critical leadership, supervisory, communication, and relationship-building skills. He leverages his expertise in facilities, operations, and construction management to deliver results. Brian’s proven ability to achieve goals and build strong teams makes him an asset for solving complex construction challenges.

Brian brings a background in stream ecology and technical expertise in a variety of field work. He is skilled in ArcGIS mapping and has created a variety of maps for several projects. He has experience in writing technical documents and offers expertise in coordinating and executing site visits for environmental projects.

Brian is experienced in site development planning and construction documentation. He takes a creative approach to managing stormwater by incorporating Best Management Practices (BMPs) and green infrastructure as a seamless part of the site design process. Brian also has been directly involved in wetland and stream permitting, in addition to mitigation/restoration plans.

Clint has overseen construction of roadway reconstruction and resurfacing projects, bridge improvements, site development, wastewater treatment plants, waterlines, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and residential subdivisions. His duties include construction inspection, coordination of work, maintaining daily logs, coordinating/ reviewing contractor pay requests, coordinating field changes, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing as-built drawings.

David has been with Environmental Design Group since 1993. He resides in Plain Township and has two daughters, Samantha and Dana. In his free time, Dave enjoys fishing, shooting, and reading.

David has experience in transportation planning and design including geometric design, streetscape, pedestrian facilities, parking lot design, maintenance of traffic, signage and stripping, culver assessment and estimate.

Dennis is a Professional Engineer and Surveyor in the State of Ohio. He has experience in surveying for public and private clients and has directed and performed all aspects of surveying. Dennis has been responsible for surveying and right-of-way plan preparation for federally funded projects and has completed the ODOT Right-of-Way Plan Development Training Course.

Mr. Briggs is a professional engineer and professional land surveyor with more than 35 years of experience. He will be leading the Environmental Design Group project team. He has provided and managed right-of-way acquisition for numerous roadway and bridge projects of various sizes both while working directly for ODOT and while working as a consultant. Mr. Briggs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and has completed the relevant ODOT training courses. While serving as the regional projects’ manager for ODOT’s Southwest Region and providing acquisition services for Districts 7, 8 and 9, he cleared over 1,600 parcels having a value of approximately $37 million. As a consultant, Mr. Briggs has provided project management on Ohio Department of Transportation agreements involving right-of-way acquisition, surveying and right-of-way plan development. ODOT Projects include: MOT-75-6.36 (West Carrollton interchange), ALL-65-8.02, and smaller projects in Clermont and Butler counties. LPA project locations include: Fairfield, Kettering, Beavercreek, Huber Heights, Athens, Mason, Fairborn, Tiffin and Washington Township and Lewisburg. He has also provided easement acquisition management for utilities that include electric, water and telecommunications.

Mr. Raters is a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio. He has over 35 years of experience in transportation engineering and management. He has completed ODOT training courses including property management, right of way plan development and eminent domain law changes. As the District 8 Real Estate Administrator, Mr. Raters managed the acquisition process, right of way plan development and review, project scoping, property management, and railroad coordination and utility relocation. He was responsible for setting project acquisition schedules and budgets, task order contracts/utilization, funds encumbrance, and right of way certification. For EDG, Mr. Raters is providing project management and support for ROW, survey, and acquisition.

Dwayne is responsible for leading the Client Service Groups and Professional Service Groups that execute transportation and traffic projects; water, wastewater and stormwater management projects; environmental investigation and remediation projects; parks, trails and greenway projects; and institutional and land development projects.

Eleanor has experience in residential and commercial design, park planning, and sustainable infrastructure. She has been involved in all aspects of the design and construction process, with special interest in 3D modeling and renderings to help clients see the vision of the project come to life.

Emmett has experience in a wide range of projects including, Wetland Delineation, Environmental Permitting, NEPA coordination, Mitigation Planning, Stream Restoration Design, Bank Stabilization, and Floodplain Delineation. Emmett is a proud Husband, and Father of 3 small children, as well as an avid disc golfer.

Eric has a background in horticulture, earning his undergraduate degree in plant science at Penn State. Upon graduation, he has worked for the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, a commercial landscape company and operated his own residential landscape design/build company in North Carolina. Before starting at EDG, Eric earned his Master of Landscape Architecture at NC State. Eric is also an ISA certified Arborist.

Francisco has experience in engineering design, construction management, code review and structural calculations.

Frank has civil engineering experience in project inspection, design, project management, budgetary tracking and monitoring. He specializes in transportation infrastructure improvements; engineering studies; inspection; construction supervision; contract document preparation and review; storm sewer systems; and water and wastewater systems.

Gerard has extensive experience in engineering project delivery including planning, survey, design, right-of-way acquisition, project management, construction and construction management. He has delivered public infrastructure projects, both as the owner and as the owner's representative for local governments and funding agencies. His lifelong commitment to public service includes 8 years as Mayor of the City of Green and his continued service to the community on Green City Council.

Hannah is a Transportation Planner and a 2nd year Masters of Geography student at Kent State University. She will be using her experience in GIS and data analysis to contribute to roadway safety projects at EDG. Hannah is excited to apply and expand her skills from school to solve real world problems with EDG.

Haoran is a licensed professional landscape architect in Ohio and a LEED Green Associate, passionate about creating spaces that bridge the gap between people and nature, design and ecology, as well as the past and the future. Dedicated to sustainability and Low Impact Development, Haoran brings a balanced approach that merges artistic and technical perspectives. With experience across all stages of the project design process, Haoran has contributed to a diverse range of projects.

Holly is a Professional Landscape Architect and LEED Accredited Professional with a LEED BD+C (LEED Building Design and Construction) designation who has provided documentation for 29 LEED registered projects, to date. Holly offers landscape architectural planning and design experience in a variety of project types.

Iain has experience as a Team Leader and Project Manager on right of way acquisition projects throughout Ohio. He is pre-qualified with ODOT is project management, title research, value analysis, negotiations and closings.

Jake has a wide range of knowledge in the field of surveying, including the operation of robotic total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD. As a survey crew member, Jake has performed construction layout surveys for buildings, heavy highway, curb, storm, bridges, tunnels and utilities.

James has experience in project management for water resources projects and inspection for geotechnical projects. James is responsible for documentation of utility work, pavement installation, and drainage elements on projects, as well as providing stakeholder coordination with businesses and residents.

Jeff has over 32 years of engineering experience and is a U.S. Army combat veteran. Jeff has been involved with projects ranging from small to large and from inception to construction closeout; including client development, conceptual planning, funding procurement, engineering reports, design and plan preparation, project bidding and construction administration and inspection.

Jeremy is a storm water design expert. He has 23 years of design experience including culvert sizing, stormwater management controls, SWP3, hydraulic studies, and lake design.

Jeremy has experience in site design engineering and municipal utility projects. Jeremy provides experience in public and private site design including stormwater management design, site drainage and grading, site layout, water and sewer main conveyance system design, erosion and sediment control and property survey and easement coordination.

Jessie has experience in both project planning and scheduling in the residential construction industry. She is heavily focused on time management, efficient data entry, and customer satisfaction. She is looking forward to facilitating processes for her POD to make their jobs easier.

Jill has a wide-range of experience working within healthcare, corporate campuses, industrial, zoo facilities and education markets. Jill offers the design team sustainable solutions that connect people to their environment and providing lasting and positive outcome for the owners and end users.

John brings over 20 years’ experience in Communications and Management. He lives in Columbus and enjoys spending time with the love of his life Abby and his four adult children: Jaslyn, Jaelyn, Jonathan, and James. John had a brief tenure as a radio personality and as a news anchor in North Carolina, where he hails from originally, and is a big UNC “Tarheels” basketball fan.

John has experience in business development creating new relationships with clients and maintaining those relationships as a trusted advisor. He has experience with ODOT and LPA projects. John is a member of ASHE Cuyahoga Valley and Lake Erie sections. He is a member of WTS and also belongs to MEANEO as well.

John has experience in transportation improvement projects including bridge and roadway replacement and rehabilitation. He has also inspected sanitary sewer rehabilitation and replacements, and waterline replacements. He is well-versed in ODOT specifications and inspection procedures and has worked on construction projects for more than 25 years.

Julie is a registered PE and brings a background in flood risk mapping and hydraulic modeling, with growing experience in other areas of water resources engineering and municipal services such as stream restoration and water main design. She is skilled in GIS data management & mapping and has experience preparing technical documents and performing quality reviews.

Justin is a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering who always aspires to be learning. He has experience in primarily urban design and multi modal transportation, but has also experienced project types such as ODOT, environmental design, construction inspection, park and trail design, and more. He has his E.I.T Certification and acts as a Design Engineer with hopes to continue to grow in his career.

I have 2 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. I’ve reviewed and written proposals and reports for civil teams and attended pre-proposal meetings at city events. I also have background in earthwork construction where we built roadways around the city of Columbus.

Katie is an experienced environmental professional. Her professional experience includes preparation of Phase I ESA reports, fuel permitting activities, and coordination with state and local agencies. She conducts wetland and surface water delineations, prepares planting plans, and is knowledgeable in plant identification.

Kyle graduated from Stark State College with a Civil Engineering Degree in December of 2019. He has over two years of experience with Civil 3D. Kyle has worked on existing and proposed site plans, and improvement plans for residential and commercial buildings. He also has experience in reviewing plats, surveys, and ALTAS.

Kyle has expertise working on projects in the parks, trails and greenways, institutional, commercial and governmental markets. Kyle’s experience includes parks, trails and greenway planning and design, site inventory and analysis, schematic site design, commercial landscape design, wetland and stream delineation, monitoring, and mitigation/restoration design.

I am a POD Administrator for the Mason office. My current duties include proposal draft and review, invoice review, assisting coworkers and assisting the Mason Director. I have experience with ODOT invoicing and contract negotiations, running payroll and invoice preparations. My goal is to help our people whether they are client or employee. My office nicknames are "Mom" and "Radar O'Reilly"

Laura has a long career in marketing as the "brand ambassador" for her previous company. In the past, she has taken the marketing plan from idea to creation to implementation and back again. She currently sits on the board of CREW Cleveland, is a classically trained singer and proud wife and mother.

Lauren is an experienced marketing professional with 3 years in the A/E/C industry. As the proposal coordinator, she helps to drive business development initiatives through the management of all aspects regarding RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. This includes managing the process, organizing deliverables, and creating content in collaboration with the firm's subject matter experts.

With a bachelor’s in communication studies, Lauren is a versatile marketing coordinator with a particular expertise in digital marketing. She is fluent in all aspects of the social media world, focusing on crafting innovative and engaging digital campaigns that capture the essence of our brand and strengthen company brand identity.

Lisa has 20 years of business related experience and has been in the A/E/C industry for 12 years. She started with EDG in 2009 and as the Office Manager she works with various departments such as Human Resources, Marketing, Operations and Accounting and also assists the technical teams with QA/QC on letter proposals to the client.

As Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Principal, Lu Ann is responsible for growth strategy, client development strategy, and leading and guiding company operations to ensure company goals are achieved. In 2012, Lu Ann along with 4 other partners purchased the northeast Ohio office and re-formed Environmental Design Group.

Luke went to Sinclair for two years for Anthropology and Psychology. He is now a survey technician in which he has learned through direct experience out in the field. Luke hopes to learn more as he goes along. He mostly does field work and help with all that! He plays music and video games in his free time!

Matt is a experienced Professional Surveyor with a demonstrated history of working in the civil engineering industry. He is skilled in Land Development, AutoCAD, Residential and Commercial Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveys, and Construction layout/stakeout.

Matt is an accomplished landscape architect with over two decades of expertise on diverse projects ranging from large scale master planning and public open space design to detailed site planning and community planning efforts. Throughout his career, his focus has been on broad scale projects, including park master planning, campus environments, transportation, and community-based improvements. His focus on projects related to environmental sustainability has been a particular passion and is a key part of the design process he brings to each project. He consistently demonstrates a capability to deliver innovative design thinking and effective oversight on complex projects.

Michael’s experience includes roadway design and layout, storm sewer design and maintenance, waterline distribution projects, site development, plans maintenance, preparation of validation documents and reports, project site inspection and site surveying and staking. In addition to AutoCAD Civil 3D, he is competent in MicroStation, GeoPAK, and OpenRoads Designer.

Michael has experience in construction inspection on a variety of projects. His design work has included WTP, WWTP, force mains, water mains, pump stations, booster pump stations, water tanks, and water and waste water preliminary engineering reports. Michael is active in many assets of his life, playing guitar, adult baseball leagues, and an everyday outdoorsmen.

Nathan has been around land surveying all his life thanks to his father being a professional surveyor. He has his real estate license, and was a personal trainer before working in his current position. I have taken many classes with ODOT. I have been working in my position for 5 years now and have been enjoying it and wanting to grow more and learn more to advance in this passion. Being outside and being in nature is something I love.

Pam has been with the Environmental Design Group for over 20 years. She attended Stark State College where she earned her associates degree in Accounting.

Patrick has worked in the water and wastewater industry for over 43 years, spending the past 34 years with the City of Akron. A graduate of the University of Akron, Pat is a licensed professional engineer and Class III Wastewater Operator in Ohio. Pat is a proud member of the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers and the Golden Manhole Society.

Paul is a professional surveyor in Ohio and Kentucky. He has worked for public and private companies, large and small. He enjoys the challenges that come with the profession. Paul also perform title searches, something he thought that he would never want to do. Paul is a deacon in the Catholic church and he volunteers at a lab rescue, transporting dogs. Paul and his wife used to love roller skating, but that is in his past.

Paul has experience in Economic Development, Project Management, and Water Resources Engineering. He has a Civil Engineering Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University.
He has experience working with communities in Ohio on industrial site planning, evaluation, and preparation for competitive site selection projects.
Paul has served on the board of the Joint Economic Development District of Northern Pickaway County for the past 8 years as well as been an active member in the Ohio Economic Development Association for the past 10 years.

Reneé has experience in transportation planning and design including trails, transportation corridors, culvert replacements, and major interstate projects. She has extensive experience with ODOT and LPA roadway, bridge, and multi modal projects. Reneé is a proud on-road cyclist and is both a League Certified Instructor and an ODOT sponsored “How We Roll” leader.

Rita has over thirty years of experience in marketing, management, project administration, process improvement, and sales development. Rita also has approximately fifteen years of experience in the AEC industry and, as operations manager, coaches the administrative team and calibrates technical and operational systems/ processes to support growth and innovation.

Robert has design experience in the trails and greenways, institutional, commercial and government markets. His experience includes trail design, commercial site design, stormwater modeling, roadway improvement design and construction inspection.

Russell is a detail-oriented professional with experience and proven knowledge as a field surveyor. He is skilled in boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys, as well as data collection utilizing robotic total station. Russell’s experience includes construction layout and coordinating and supervising crew members.

Ryan has 10 years of experience drafting in homebuilding. His main focus was on adjustments, additions, complete redesigns, structures and problem solving as well as mentoring new hires. He values the mentality of continuous learning which he strives to do in many areas such as his career, parenting and investing.

Samuel has experience in roadway and water planning and design and extensive experience with C.O.C and ODOT projects. He is also a proud sports coach and certified OSHAA Umpire.

Scott has experience in land development projects including residential subdivisions, commercial sites, and healthcare facilities. He has experience throughout the entire process of a project from concept to post construction.

Scott specializes in roadway design for ODOT and other public agencies and has extensive civil engineering design experience that includes drainage design and hydraulics, stream and river hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, right-of-way engineering, traffic engineering and traffic studies, highway and street lighting, utility engineering and land surveying.

Sela is heading into her senior year at Youngstown State University this fall and will graduate with a bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in the spring of 2024. Last summer, she worked as an intern at a construction management firm. This summer she looks forward to working on the design and planning side of the transportation sector.

Shelly is a Project Administrator for Environmental Design Group where she prepares, reviews, and processes various documents for the firm. Although Shelly is new to the A/E/C industry, she brings 20 years of experience working for a large corporate retail company. Shelly also volunteers for several non-profit organizations within the community.

Stefanie is a licensed architect and sustainability professional with success leading architectural, higher education and private sector teams to achieve performance goals. She demonstrates strengths in leadership, project management, communication, design and problem resolution. Her work portfolio includes strategy formation, stakeholder engagement, sustainability assessments, project development and implementation.

Steve spent 10 years in supply chain management. His field experience includes bridge and heavy highway construction, utilities, erosion and sediment control, intersections, lighting and traffic control. Steve managed the construction of networks of interactive kiosks in downtown Baltimore and Cleveland.

Steven is a Landscape Architect who has been with Environmental Design Group since 2013 and is an alumni of The Ohio State University. He is passionate for creating sustainable experiences that impact the local community and his professional experience includes recreational, institutional, and comprehensive land use plans.

Susan is a transportation engineer with over 20 years of experience. She manages projects including roadway improvements, traffic analysis and planning, safety studies, signalization, water distribution, and active transportation for local municipalities and ODOT. Susan is a member of the “Focus on Fatalities” committee and an advocate for roadway safety.

Tammi leads a team of marketing professionals who specialize in graphic design, videography/photography, copywriting/editing, digital marketing platforms, community outreach/event planning, and strategic campaign management. Tammi and her team have recently won two 2019 and three 2020 Zweig National Marketing Awards.

Terry has almost 40 years of marketing, communications and business development experience and has been in the A/E/C industry for more than 20 years. She joined EDG in 2014 where she implements internal and external business development strategies – including client relations, project pursuits and mentoring staff. She recently served on Planning Commission and is currently a member of the Records Commission for the City of Munroe Falls.

Thomas has an astrophysics degree from Illinois Institute of Technology. As a field technician, he assists in finding and setting property pins, right of way monuments, setting up and running the total station and GPS units for survey, and setting hubs and lath for poles and right of way on construction jobs.

Tim has experience designing single lot house projects and working on survey jobs such as lot splits and consolidations. He also has experience reviewing plats.

Tim has experience in the design of private and municipal projects. Tim’s responsibilities include the preparation of construction documents for a wide variety of civil related projects, including site design, parking and grading plans, storm and sanitary projects, subdivisions development plans, roadway and bike path plans, and site earthwork calculations.

Tom is a seasoned park professional with over forty years of progressive park management experience in budget management, personnel management, strategic planning, project development and management, public speaking, grant writing, and inter-agency cooperation.

Tom has more than 12 years of engineering experience designing storm water and detention systems in both private and public applications. He is also experienced in all phases of the site development process as well as the development of construction documents and storm water pollution prevention plans. Tom's responsibilities include managing private and municipal site design projects; estimating; storm water management; utility coordination and design; site grading; water quality and detention design.

Tom has experience in surveying including construction layout, leveling, setting/searching for monuments, and conducting point cloud scans. He has some experience using MicroStation and Open Roads platforms. Currently he is working towards obtaining his PE, PS licensure. He has worked on projects dealing with site design, transmission/distribution power line layout and design, and roadway design.

Whitney is our Office Administrator and handles front desk duties as well as letter proposals and supporting technical teams with administrative duties.

William’s experience includes design work in AutoCAD creating construction documents; creating alignments, surfaces, earthwork quantities, and sewer pipe networks; designing grading for wastewater management; construction site inspection; using construction documents to develop a cost estimate; and working in teams to find solutions to project challenges.
